Department of Physical Education

Physical Education department (PEd) has long been recognised, nationally for its high level teaching and research in the sport and physical education areas. The department provides students with many certification opportunities in coach education so that they can contribute more to the community. The representative sports of our department are archery, tennis, cycling, and ping pong. The coaches have developed great game techniques and strategies for the athletes, many of whom have shown outstanding records in national competitions.

ANU PE provides outstanding opportunities for students and staff to develop their academic interests and abilities, to involve themselves in sport at whatever level they choose and, generally, to get the most out of a higher education environment. ANU PE is a focus for the development of sporting excellence and sport participation. ANU PE has Institute of Sports Contents. It target for variety of new contents and knowledge in the sports and exercise.

The PEd target is redeveloped worldwide for its high quality and wide ranging research. A key feature of the PEd's mission and identity is to nurture and renew its strong and energetic research culture. This research culture permeates the PEd's activities. The PEd contains number of researchers with national and international reputations, who have had a significant impact in their fields of study.
