Department of Culture and Tourism

The department of European Culture and Tourism aims to research and teach the integrated topics of European language, culture, cultural industry and tourism. European culture and tourism studies are based on fundamental languages (English and German) and various European cultures. They are studies with a macro-view to comparing various European cultures and encompassing production and consumption of culture and tourism products. Based on an abundant knowledge and understanding of European languages and cultures, the purpose of the department is to teach students to appreciate the value of European culture, to arm them with an abundance of knowledge and understanding about European languages and cultures, and to develop marketable products about European cultures and tourism. In this way, they can become members contributing to the industry, as well as introduce Korean culture and promote tourism of Korea to European countries.
